Ian Warren
How are All-State practices going?
They are going well. It’s a bit of a struggle to get there and practice every morning. All-State is coming up soon, so we are getting down to the final grind, but it’s going well.
How is it being in Madrigal?
I’m excited. I loved it last year, and everyone should go.
Is it easier since it is your second year/you are singing bass this time?
Sort of; I have to relearn some of the music since I sang tenor last year, but it gives me more confidence.
You joined the AHS choir last year, did you have any other choral experience prior to AHS?
I was in Ames Children’s Choir for a while. I think I did that until 7th grade.
Besides singing, what else do you do?
I play the piano and other activities. Thereâs always school and homework though.
If you were a character from Lord of the Rings, who would you be?
I would be a hobbit. An abnormally large hobbit with less hairy feet and the same eating addiction.
If you were trapped in an infinite bowl of jello and could have one other person or thing, who/what would it be?
Daniel Vigil. Seriously though, that kid sure likes his Jello.
I hear that you went through puberty, explain.
I actually came out as a bass. That’s right, watch out Simon Estes.
You are joining Speech Club this year, are you excited?
I might join if Michael figures out what he’s doing. Spence. Go. Build a bridge and get over it.
Are you frequently compared to your older sister, Grace? How does that make you feel?
I don’t think many people actually make that connection. I guess I sort of carry on the legacy of being awesome in choir, though. Elaborate. That’s not even a question.
Why are you writing?
You’re such a Rita Skeeter. More. You Troll.
Is there anything you would like to add?
You’re not putting that in. I’ll never be your friend! NOOOOOOO!
