In the fall, Arrow Allen ties his shoes on the grass. In the winter, he ties them on the court. In the spring, he ties them on the track. Arrow Allen is a freshman at Ames High School who plays multiple sports competitively.
“I just love playing sports, it’s something I can do while both being healthy but also having fun,” Allen said.

Not everyone is always confident in themselves to do well, but Arrow Allen is. His confidence
in his ability to do well in the sport allows him to be better at what he does.
“I started Track because I’m a pretty fast runner, and I was speeding past everybody, and I thought to myself, ‘I’m pretty good at this,’” Arrow Allen said.
Allen first started sports at a young age. His additional experience leads him to be a more competitive athlete.
“I think I’m better than most people because I started playing basketball when I was six,” Allen said.
Usually, people only focus on doing one thing so that they don’t have to do a lot, but Arrow enjoys learning various types of events in Track.
“I probably like Track more than Cross Country, because you get to do more stuff,” Allen stated.
Even though Arrow Allen spends a lot of time being active, he also spends time relaxing in his room playing video games, specifically Fortnite.
